About the artist
I create pictures of animals because they live real lives and feel emotions, just like us. They feel pain, joy, fear and loss, and they see the world in ways we may never fully understand. I try to capture the essence of that shared existence so that people can pause, look, and feel, and see what I see, even if just for a moment. The quiet regard, the wild joy, the hunger in their eyes.
I struggle to tell my own complicated story, but through their stories something deeper is said, and a part of me is shared with each piece. My work is created from careful observation and a deep understanding of the natural world, portraying the character, drama and beauty that we exist alongside. There is emotion in every line, every stare, every quiet moment.
These are lives that matter.
If we keep denying that animals feel just as keenly as we do, we’re ignoring a part of ourselves and severing our connection to the living world. My art is a way to connect with the lives we too easily overlook, and to remember, reawaken and come home to nature.
Collectors choose my work for its skilled draughtsmanship, narrative quality, and its presence in respected juried exhibitions across the UK. These juried exhibitions demonstrate the quality, consistency, and professional standard of my work.
Beyond the gallery walls, I’m also part of the Country Living Marketplace Artisan Collective, a curated selection of independent makers known for craftsmanship and authenticity.
